“The initial goal we set when establishing NBBA – to increase Norwegian investments to BiH – has been successfully achieved. Thanks to NBBA, Norway has become the preferred partner and one of the largest investors in BiH in green energy. The bilateral relations that we have been successfully developing for the past 26 years have resulted in investments of Norwegian companies to BiH. The aim of NBBA is not only to boost our bilateral trade and commercial relations, but also bring new jobs to BiH. The other sectors that are also of high interest to NBBA are ICT, tourism, as well as the mechanical and wood industry.” said Ambassador Olav Reinertsen.

“There are several projects in the pipeline and 2023 will be very exciting year. We are very optimistic about announcinng good news to BiH. We are looking forward to continue promoting and facilitating new investments between Norway and BiH.” stated the Chairman of NBBA Jan Morritz Olsson.

In November, the Norwegian Embassies in Belgrade and Sarajevo, in cooperation with NBBA, organized the largest regional renewable energy conference: “Investment opportunities in renewable energy in the Western Balkans“. The conference brought together the Western Balkans political leadership, representatives of the Norwegian government, and representatives of the largest companies in the field of energy from the Western Balkans and Norway. This was a unique opportunity for business cooperation, especially considering the current energy crisis at the global level and the importance of regional cooperation in that context.

Despite the constraints that the pandemic brought in the last period, NBBA intends to continue promoting and facilitating new investments between Norway and BiH.
