Ever since NTE saw the light of day in 1919, we have provided renewable energy and solutions to our customers. After 100 years of green growth in Trøndelag, NTE is today the largest renewable company north of Dovre. Sustainability has played and will continue to play an important role in the development of the company and the services we provide. As an extra motivation, we became the industry winner in the Norwegian Sustainability Barometer 2020.

In addition, NTE is a major player in the trade in consumables. In recent years, the business has been expanded to include areas such as broadband, international engineering and plumbing.

NTE is organized as a group with Nord-Trøndelag Elektrisitetsverk Holding AS as parent company. NTE is wholly owned by Nord-Trøndelag County Municipality. The company is headquartered in Steinkjer and in addition has shops, production facilities and installation departments / units throughout Nord-Trøndelag county and an installation department in Trondheim.

NTE has 80,000 measured power plants. The group has a total of 1,000 employees and an annual turnover of close to NOK 3 billion.
